Club Thai is run by myself, David Bruce, and my lovely Thai wife, Namoi. We decided to start Club Thai as a result of the many requests we always get on our trips to Thailand from Thai ladies looking for “farang” (usually pronounced “falang” – the Thai word for a foreigner of European extraction) husbands, and my experience of older male friends who for one reason or another find themselves alone in life.

If you are 40+ 50+ or even 60+ you can still find romance with a beautiful Thai lady in her 20’s or 30’s! Even though you may not think yourself attractive, to a Thai lady you can be the most attractive potential husband that she has met! Thai women and Thai society are very different to the West. They are very traditional, and the most important quality looked for in a husband is a good heart (jai dee!). Indeed many Thai ladies actively look for an older husband, and an age difference of 20-30 years is not uncommon. Thai ladies appreciate that an older man can provide the sort of love, care and stability that they look for, and that often younger men cannot provide. Looks in general, are not of great importance - you may be greying or balding, overweight, and never get a second glance here in the UK, but still find true romance with your Thai bride!
